The First Seeds Have Been Planted On Our Golf Resort
Limassol, Cyprus - A significant moment has been reached! In an exciting milestone for our hard-working team, the grassing of our luxury 18 hole golf course has officially commenced. Following two years of in-depth planning, the construction team has begun grassing on holes 5 and 6.
Ultra-Sustainable Bermuda Tahoma 31 Grass
With sustainability and water conservation in mind, as is the Limassol Greens way, our team has selected Bermuda Tahoma 31 grass - ideal for golf courses set in traditional warm-season climates. Bermuda Tahoma 31 is known for its superior resistance to drought as compared to other popular types. Developed by experts at Oklahoma State University, this superior grass type will ensure that less water is required to maintain the course’s high standard.

Why not start with two of the most exciting holes on our Limassol Golf Course? In no time at all, holes 5 and 6 will be challenging our golfers and captivating residents as these holes are set against the idyllic backdrop of the surrounding region.

“The detailed work on shaping the fairways, bunkers, tees, and greens has been an extensive process,” said Andrew Halifax, Golf Superintendent at Limassol Greens Golf Resort. “With the start of grassing using Bermuda grass, our vision is finally becoming reality.”
What is Next
The finalization of the immense project which is the grassing of our 18-hole championship golf course, is set to be completed by October. This means that we’ll be positioned to welcome our first golfers next summer. While the grass starts to flourish, attention will turn to completing the Clubhouse ensuring that both will be ready when the first ball is launched down the fairway in summer of 2025. .
